Last updated: September 1, 2026 — operated by Sergey Litau, contact [email protected]
This page explains what this website (lilu-fr.litau.app) collects today, while it is selling early access to the Lilu app ahead of launch, why, and how you can control it. Lilu is operated by Sergey Litau ("we," "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] — a person reads that inbox.
1. No account, no sign-in
This website has no account system and no login. The interactive demo runs entirely in your browser — word taps and the saved-word list you build while trying it are held only in that browser tab and are gone once you close it; nothing is uploaded to a server under your name. The only things we ask for are your email, if you choose to join the launch-updates list, and your payment details, which go directly to PayPal and never touch us (see §2).
2. What we collect
| Category | What it is | Linked to you | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product usage (PostHog) |
Which pages you open, demo clips you watch, words you tap, and whether you scrolled to the pricing section — no persistent visitor ID (see below) | No | Understanding which parts of the site and demo work, and improving them |
| Payment (PayPal) |
Your card or PayPal account details, handled entirely by PayPal on its own payment page | Tied to your PayPal account by PayPal — not shared with our analytics | Processing your one-time $19 early-access payment |
| Waitlist email (Cloudflare KV) |
The email address you type into the "Notify me" form, if you use it | Yes — it's the address you gave us | Sending you one email when Lilu launches, nothing else |
| Embedded video (YouTube / Google) |
Standard requests Google's own player makes while playing a clip (see §5) | Governed by Google, not us | Playing the video |
PostHog on this site is configured to keep its visitor ID in memory only
— it resets every time you reload the page, so nothing about your visit
today is linked to a visit tomorrow. It has no identify() call
anywhere in the code, on purpose, so a visitor is never turned into a named
profile.
We do not record your IP address next to this analytics activity — every event we send explicitly tells our analytics provider to discard it — and we do not run session recording of any kind. Every property we send is also screened for anything shaped like an email address, name, phone number, or full web address before it leaves your browser, as a second layer of protection behind simply not collecting that information in the first place.
3. What we deliberately do not do
- We never see or store your card details — PayPal handles the payment entirely on its own page.
- We never link your browsing on this site to your name or email, unless you give us your email yourself through the waitlist form.
- We never record your screen or session.
- We never sell your data, to anyone, for any reason.
- We never send your waitlist email to our analytics or payment tools.
4. How long we keep it, and how to reset it
The demo's saved-word list lives only in your browser tab, as described in §1 — closing the tab, reloading the page, or clearing your browser's site data deletes it instantly, and there is no server-side copy for us to delete afterward.
Anonymous analytics held by our vendor are kept only as long as its own default retention window, and are never matched back to a named individual, because we never gave it a name or email to match against. Your waitlist email (if you gave us one) and your PayPal payment record are kept until you ask us to remove them. Write to [email protected] with the approximate date — we will do what we reasonably can with data that, by design, is not tied to an identity.
5. YouTube and Google
Every clip in Lilu plays through YouTube's own official embedded video player, with its native controls and branding left fully visible. That player belongs to Google, and it can set its own cookies and collect its own data under Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service — this is true of any app or website that embeds a YouTube video, and it sits outside our control. We do not download, store, or re-host any YouTube video or audio ourselves.
6. Children
Lilu is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone using this site — there is no sign-up field to collect it in. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] and we will remove it.
7. Where your data is processed
Our analytics, payment, and hosting vendors run infrastructure in the United States and other countries. Using this site means the data described above may be processed outside the country you're in.
8. Third-party vendors we use
- PostHog Inc. — anonymous product analytics
- PayPal, Inc. — payment processing
- Google LLC (YouTube) — embedded video player
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and stores your waitlist email
9. Changes to this policy
We update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and post the new version at this same address. Material changes are also announced to anyone on the waitlist and, once the app ships, in its release notes.
10. Contact
